Denise Hammonds, purportedly a "Coach and Mentor" does not have a website for Santa Maria Tenerife Holiday and there's probably a very good reason for this. Most reputable companies will have a website and ask that you make bookings through them. With Santa Maria Tenerife Holiday this is not the case.
They did indeed have a website but refused to pay their web designer so the website was taken down.
Our suggestion would be to always use a reputable company that have a website that you can then lookup who is actually behind the business.
There's a number of things to watch out for and this is by no means a definitive list...
Do They Have a Website ?
In the case of Santa Maria Tenerife Holiday they did indeed have a website but refused to pay for it so it was removed. That in itself should speak volumes about the business. If they operate through a Facebook page or other social media platform that's a pretty good indicator of how the business operates and we'd recommend staying well away from any business that does this.Do They Want Money Up Front ?
In many cases Denise Hammonds insists that you pay 3 months in advance for any booking. That again should be a good indicator that you should stay away. If you book through a reputable website such as Booking.com for example you'll quite often be able to book and pay on arrival. Quite normal you might think, no?We'd suggest that any "agency" that asks for money up front should be steered well clear of, especially given that in Tenerife there are thousands of properties you can rent and all through more reputable agencies.
Judge For Yourself...
Anyone or any business that has no website, no fixed line number advertised and takes payments up front in our opinion is simply to be avoided. All of these alone are warning signs but there are others too and we'd always suggest that you keep well away from any business that operates this way.
Safe travels and safe bookings !
